Jehlum Post News|Srinagar| June 15, 2013| Noted Supreme Court Lawyer, Shabnam Lone, today called for a meaningful dialogue between India, Pakistan and Kashmiris for a lasting solution to the Kashmir issue apart from return of peace to the state.“Kashmiris have given sacrifices for peace. My father sacrificed his life for peace in the state and peace should be given a chance. Despite dialogue between the two countries at different levels, there has been no headway on Kashmir issue. It is high time that the dispute is resolved by including Kashmiris in dialogue

who are the basic party affected by lack of peace in the region”, Lone said while taking part in an interaction held by civil society activists headed by noted Journalist Seema Mustafa at a local hotel.Shabnam Lone said that both India and Pakistan are staking claims on J&K by calling it integral part or jugular vein but nobody is concerned about Kashmiris who are suffering.“They should leave their stated positions and solve the human issue, we have lost a lot and now peace should be given a chance”, she added. She said dialogue between diplomats of the two countries has failed to bring about change on ground. “Doors should be opened for a result oriented dialogue so that people of Kashmir benefit from it”.Lone termed hanging of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru as unconstitutional, as he was denied access to judicial review. Denial of a meeting with his family members was unfair and inhuman. She urged the civil society of India and Kashmir to play their part in solution of Kashmir issue. She also urged them to talk to people and find the ground realities for themselves. The group of civil society activists had Friday visited Kunan-Poshpora village in north Kashmir to interact with victims of alleged mass rape.

The controversy around Nestle's Maggi noodles has caused panic throughout the nation and it doesn't look like it will die down any time soon.

After the initial test results by Uttar Pradesh Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed harmful levels of monosodium glutamate (MSG) and lead in Maggi, various states across India and even Bangladesh conducted tests on Maggi to find out whether the food product is safe or not.

The controversy around Maggi has led to tests being conducted across the country.

The entire controversy began when the UP FDA last month asked Nestle India to withdraw a batch of Maggi noodles "which were manufactured in February 2014" after it found high levels of added MSG, a taste enhancer, in the noodles and lead beyond permissible limits.
